Q: Where is your leather cord made?
A: We carry leather cord from Greece, India, and Spain. You can see in the description of each item where it originates.

Q: Is leather cord lead-free and free from toxic chemicals?
A: Absolutely! Our manufacturers certify that the leather they supply us with is lead-free, nickel-free and non-toxic.

Q: I noticed that your Greek leather cord is more expensive. Why is that?
A: Greece was the first country to manufacture leather cord for export, and in general, the Greek leather cord is better quality. (We use the Greek leather for all of our necklaces because it makes a natural curve that causes each necklace hold its shape.)  However, nowadays some Indian manufacturers produce  leather cord that is of comparable quality to the Greek leather cord at a much lower price. Besides reasons of quality, Greek leather is more expensive because of higher manufacturing costs, high taxes, and the Dollar to Euro exchange rate (we have to pay the Greek manufacturer in Euros).

Q:  Do you custom-make jewelry? Wholesale?
A: Yes, absolutely! You can order 1 or 1000. As a matter of fact we supply several stores with several hundreds of leather cord necklaces monthly.

Q: I want to order a necklace but I am afraid that my pendant will not slide over the end. What can I do?
A: In this case we can leave one end of the necklace unattached so you can slide your pendant on the cord and finish the necklace yourself or you can send your pendant to us and we will hang it for you.

Q: In what lengths is your leather cord available?
A: We offer our most popular sizes of leather cord (1mm--2mm) in standard lengths of 10, 25, 50, and 100 meters in spools or hanks. Larger sizes (3mm and up) are available in lengths of 10 or 25 meters. You can also specify lengths shorter than 10 meters, which we measure and cut to your specification.

Q: Is leather cord waterproof?
Leather by nature is not waterproof. However all leather cords have been treated to become water resistant. Getting wet occasionally and dried quickly is not going to hurt them. If they get submerged in water often like taking showers with them, they will eventually start to become stiff or start to rot.

Q:The diameter of the leather cord in each of my orders sometimes seems slightly thicker or thinner than than previous order.  Why is that?
A: Because of the nature of the material, leather can shrink or expand. During the manufacturing process, this can result in slight variations in size from one batch to the next, usually no more than -+3%.

Q: How long does it take for my order to ship?
A: Orders received by 3pm EST will be shipped the same day. Custome made jewelry usually will be shipped within two working days but it may take longer depending on the size of of the order and the orders before yours.

Q: What is your return policy?
A: You can return any item unused, uncut and in its original packaging  for refund. Customer pays return shipping.  Custom made jewelry are not refundable. Shipping & handling charges are not refundable.

Q: Do you have free shipping? Some of your competitors advertise free shipping.
A: We know that s
ome of our competitors advertise  free shipping. But do they really ship free? Compare their prices with ours. Your savings are real and bigger with us even if you pay shipping.

Q: OK, your prices are much lower but is the quality the same?
A:  Absolutely! Same or better. All leather cord is made from cow's skin and most come from India or Greece. Many  of us get our supplies from the same factory, exactly the same. The reason that we can sell cheaper is that we are a Mom and Pop business working from our home with no rent or high overhead expences.
